About us
I love teaching and I love science. For me, the best thing about working in education is getting to know a wide range of students and finding new ways to help them to reach their potential.
I started Science Point in 2007 because I wanted to create resources that would support teachers, enhance learning and get more Kiwi kids passionate about my favourite subject - science!
It wasn't long before I convinced my partner (now fiance!), Claire, to get involved. Claire is a Senior Communicaitons Advisor and has a post-graduate degree in journalism. Her creativity and ability to simplify complex ideas has been invaluable.
This year, we provided resources to more than 80 schools throughout New Zealand, and the positive feedback that we receive makes all of the hard work that goes in worth it.
I believe that time is a teacher’s most valuable asset and my aim is to continue to create resources that reduce pressure, allowing for more effective, enjoyable teaching.
